How we learn
How we learn
Grand Union Village School is designed to meet the needs of our pupils and to promote a sense of belonging.
Pupils learn in one of four key-stage learning communities/hubs. These are a secure base for teacher directed sessions and social group-work.
Organisation of these learning communities helps to ensure that all pupils receive an appropriate balance of whole class, small group, and individual teaching.
Each key-stage community has flexible workrooms for 1:1 and small group work to enable pupils to move with ease between learning sessions and therapeutic sessions therefore enabling independence.
Each learning community has its own large communal space and access to shared, secure outdoor areas to encourage social interaction.
We build honest working relationships with our parents and staff. Our school is a real community; the doors are always open.
